HYATT CENTRIC WAIKIKI BEACH - AN AUTHENTIC HAWAIIAN EXPERIENCE

HYATT CENTRIC WAIKIKI BEACH

If you ever are planning on going to Oahu, Hawaii, I would highly recommend you to stay with Hyatt. I stayed at Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach, and I loved it. The hotel is located in the heart of Waikiki, close to shopping, restaurants, the beach, and adventures, such as beautiful lookouts, trails, and waterfalls. They also offer parking, which is a big bonus if you have a rental car. Enjoy their luxury, beautiful newly renovated rooms with heated toilet seats, and a nice pool, and chill in the huge swing they have in the lobby, unfortunately, the Hawaiian food at the Lanai Restaurant and Bar will be closed until further notice. This hotel has something for everyone.

LOCATION

As mentioned, Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach is located in the heart of Waikiki, only 20 minutes away from the airport. Close to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. The beach is only 5 minutes away from the beach walking, and the hotel provides beach towels, umbrellas, chairs, and whatever else you would need at the beach. Right around the corner from the hotel, you have the Duke’s Lane Market, which is good for breakfast or lunch. Also, shopping is very close by.

ROOMS AND SUITES

Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach has 230 rooms at their hotel. They promise you an upscale modern design, mixed with island-style comfort. As I mentioned above, they have toilets with heated seats, first time for me, and I loved it. We booked the Ocean view room with 2 queen beds. The bathroom was very spacious, with a bathtub and a big separate shower. The view is outstanding, especially from a higher level. The windows are floor-to-ceiling and the beds are very comfortable. They also have more expensive suites. In the suite, you will get a separate open concept living room with a sleeper sofa, and deep soaking tub. If you are part of the Hyatt program, you can check your upgrade eligibility.

THE POOL AND LOBBY AREA

In the Lobby area you can find a swing where it is very cool to take pictures, also just lay there and chill, listening to your favorite podcast. The wall is beautifully painted with Aloha in mind, next to the swing you can get some work done on their computers. You can also find the fitness room here. It's small but has what you need for a short workout. The pool is located right outside the Lobby area, a very unique and beautiful pool. Unfortunately, it was very windy when we went, so we could not enjoy it. The pool area offers lounges and umbrellas and chairs and a hot tub.

PET-FRIENDLY HOTEL

The hotel is also pet friendly, they offer complimentary dog beds and water bowls. You have to let them know 3 days prior to arrival. It cost $100 if you are staying for one or six nights plus tax and $250 if you stay longer. The pet weight limit is 50 pounds.

MY HONEST REVIEW OF HYATT CENTRIC WAIKIKI BEACH

Arriving at Hyatt felt so easy from moment one. I parked the car in the garage connected to the hotel. Their parking is on level 6. The hotel will connect your key card to the parking spot so you can come and go whenever you want. Very easy. The elevator from the parking takes you directly to the lobby or your room. The service at the hotel is outstanding, and they do everything in their power to make your vacation a dream holiday.

The rooms were spacious, and there was a little surprise box filled with Hawaiian candy and beer in the room when I arrived. My room was located on the 18th floor, and the view of the ocean and Waikiki was outstanding. I had a really good time at their hotel. The bed was so comfy, good shower and a heated toilet seat. Unfortunately, I couldn’t enjoy the pool area too much, because of the high wind, but I’m sure that would also be an amazing experience. I also felt that they had made a cool effort for social media lovers for photos. So many cool places in the hotel area where you could get some awesome shots.
